“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Israel365 begins 2018 by celebrating their 5th Anniversary. Somehow I can’t help thinking of the verses of Psalm 133 when I think of this work’s founder Rabbi Tuly Weisz and the team at Israel365, for they have created a a very good work – a worldwide community of people who are united in blessing Israel in so many different ways!
I love many things about Israel365. The site features articles, products from the Holy Land and inspiring Biblical verses and educational content, and they connect hundreds of thousands of people all over the world to Israel 365 days of the year. If you subscribe, you can receive their newsletter everyday, and what a treat! Although it is an Israeli site, Christians who get connected to this site pretty much rave about it. Rabbi Tuly is a firm believer in the value of understanding and friendship between our Jewish and Christian faiths, and it shows in the many comments and feed back found as you browse the various parts of the site.
One of the things I love the most about Israel365 is that it gives those of us who love the Land and the people from afar so many opportunities to support the neediest of the needy through the Israel365 Charity Fund. Today their newsletter spotlights Colel Chabad who is providing food, heaters, blankets and warm clothing for hundreds of Israel’s poorest families. Israel365 is focusing on helping with the Colel Chabad Home Heating Program. If you visit the link, you can make a donation and help an Israeli family. I was just reading about the verse from Genesis 12:3 which says, of Israel, “I will bless them who bless thee.” (The verse seems so often used by ministries on a broader scale, but it means more to me when we have an opportunity to be involved in a more personal way.) I’ve noticed that giving goes to the charity directly when you hit the link from Israel365. Another reason that I so love Israel365.
Their Charity Fund supports many causes in Israel including, holiday food for the poor and underprivileged, Holocaust survivors, and victims of terror. They also plant thousands of trees every month in the Land of Israel. If you haven’t yet discovered Israel365, I encourage you to visit them and subscribe to their newsletter. I didn’t get into all of the other amazing things you can find there or the news site they have founded – Breaking Israel News. Another time!
The Monday’s Message picture at the top of the page gives us verse four from Psalm 37:
Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
This has been a scriptures that sustained me mightily during the earlier years of my walk with the Lord. Now it sustains me even more because I know how true the words are!
I leave you with the following verse which is pure wisdom for those who love the LORD and desire to serve Him!
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass. ~Psalm 37:5
Blessed be the Holy One of Israel,
